1. Agreement

By accessing or using Cineprompt ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use the Service. Simple.

2. What Cineprompt Does

Cineprompt is a client-side prompt builder for AI video generation. It helps you construct structured prompts using cinematographic parameters — shot types, camera movement, lighting, lenses, and more. All processing happens in your browser.

3. Your Prompts

The prompts you generate using Cineprompt are yours. You own full rights to any prompt output you create. We claim no ownership over your generated content.

However, the tool itself — including the interface, prompt-building logic, smart merge rules, model-specific optimizations, and all underlying code — is our proprietary work.

4. What You Can't Do

Copy, reproduce, or redistribute the Cineprompt source code, prompt logic, or UI design
Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the underlying algorithms or merge rules
Create derivative works based on Cineprompt's code or design
Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the tool itself
Use automated tools to scrape or extract the source code

Using the tool to generate prompts? Absolutely fine — that's what it's for. Copying the tool itself? Not okay.

5. Intellectual Property

Cineprompt, including all code, design, logic, and content, is the property of Light Owl, LLC and is protected by copyright law. The copyright notice in the source code constitutes formal notice of our rights.

6. No Warranty

Cineprompt is provided "as is." We make no guarantees that:

The tool will be available at all times
Generated prompts will produce specific results in any AI model
The tool will be free of errors

AI video models change frequently. Prompt effectiveness depends on the model, its version, and its interpretation. We optimize for current model behavior but can't control third-party AI systems.

7. Limitation of Liability

Light Owl, LLC is not liable for any damages arising from your use of Cineprompt, including but not limited to lost revenue, creative output, or time spent. Use the tool at your own discretion.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. We'll update the "Last updated" date when changes are made.
